The Macfarlanes Training Scholarship is a unique programme developed within the firm and delivered in partnership with Brunel Law School at Brunel University London. We want to find and recruit the most talented people to become the future of our firm. The scholarship is exclusive to first year Brunel LLB law students (on either the three- or four-year programme) who meet the firm’s social mobility criteria. The Macfarlanes Training Scholarship has been designed to tackle the socio-economic barriers that discourage talented students from joining the legal profession. he Training Scholarship is a unique, fully-funded programme from the first year of your law degree onwards. We are currently recruiting for our 2025/26 cohort.

This application form and the online assessment is the first stage of the selection process. If you pass this you will be invited to the second stage: an Assessment Day which will select up to six students for the Training Scholarship Pathway Scheme, which is the third and final stage of the selection process. Following this scheme, up to three Training Scholars for our new cohort!
