About Herbert Smith Freehills

At Herbert Smith Freehills, we align your growth and ambition with ours. We invest in your personal and professional growth and support you to achieve your ambition. And you share responsibility for playing a part in delivering the firm’s growth and ambition too.

We’re a high-profile, respected and renowned leading international law firm. This means you’ll be working on important or leading matters and markets, with colleagues who are respected in their field. You'll have the opportunity to gain international exposure, by engaging in cross-border deals and transactions as well as by experiencing different cultures and offices through an international secondment on the London Trainee Associate Programme. Your diverse perspective will be welcomed, whatever your background and experience and whether your degree is in law or something different. Despite our prominent position in the sector, we’ve never been complacent, we’re ambitious and focused on growth. From our sector specialisms, to our commitment to digital legal delivery, you’ll be part of a team that’s actively engaging with the future.

Your opportunity

As a HSF Campus Ambassador, you'll be at the heart of an exciting campaign, bringing the spirit of Herbert Smith Freehills to your campus. You'll be the bridge between us and your fellow students, sharing the exciting work we do and the outstanding opportunities we offer.

What you'll be doing:

Be our voice: You'll represent HSF across various events and on social media platforms, showcasing our Human, Bold, and Outstanding values.

Create and captivate: You'll craft engaging social media content that resonates with your peers and sparks their interest in HSF.

Market and motivate: You'll be involved in event and recruitment marketing, helping to bring our opportunities to life for your fellow students.

Spread the word: You'll generate brand awareness through word-of-mouth marketing, sharing your enthusiasm for HSF with your network.

We're looking for students who are not just academically strong, but also proactive, involved, and passionate about making a difference at university. During the interview, we're keen to understand why HSF appeals to you, what unique qualities you can bring to the role, and how you plan to collaborate with us to promote our activities on campus.

What you'll get in return:

We're excited to hear from students who are eager to dive into the world of law, have a strong academic track record, and have shown initiative by embracing a variety of opportunities at university. During the interview, we want to hear about your passion for HSF, the energy you'll bring to the role, and your plans to promote our activities on campus.

The application

To apply, you will need to complete our online application form and online test. Telephone interviews will take place after applications close. When to apply

Our Campus Ambassador positions are open to students studying at a UK university, who are in the first year of a three-year course or second year of a four-year course. You will be performing this role during your penultimate year on campus.

Inclusivity

We value diverse perspectives and embrace difference. We’re proud of our achievements, committed to building on our good work, as well as our awareness of and focus on well-being. You’ll be supported to bring your whole and best self to work in an environment that is not only professional, but also connected and caring. We’re renowned for our culture. We balance being human, bold and outstanding and you’ll find these are more than our values: a lived experience. At the heart of this, you’ll be supported to grow, achieve your ambitions and play a part in helping us achieve the firm’s.
