About the role
Clyde & Co, internationally recognised insurance law firm currently has multiple opportunities available for intelligent, highly motivated paralegals with document review and/or eDiscovery experience to work across one of our market leading insurance teams.
These fixed term paralegal assignments will be supporting a Consultant Partner whose practice involves handling insurance and commercial disputes.
We are looking for 3 Paralegals on a fixed term contract basis until September to assist with the review of a large number of documents as part of a discovery exercise. We invite applications from Paralegal candidates who are fluent (written and oral) in Cantonese and English with strong Mandarin (advantageous). Any prior litigation experience will be highly regarded. The roles are based in our Hong Kong office.
Key responsibilities
Day to day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- eDiscovery and document review
- Analysing and classifying large volumes of material (digital and hard copy) and producing accurate and detailed summary descriptions with the use of document review tools
- Providing support to the Consultant, Partners, Senior Associates, Associates and the broader team
- Attending to digital filing, maintaining accurate database records
- Attending to all other work-related Partner, Consultant and fee earner requests.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for reliable paralegals with prior experience who enjoy working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team. To be considered for these positions you will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:
- Completing law studies or graduated from LLM/LLB and seeking to gain experience
- Strong academic background, self-driven with excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Developed research skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
- A can-do attitude: someone who takes initiative, and is a quick learner
- Planning and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and adaptable approach.
