Trainee Patent Attorney – Chemistry (Pharmaceuticals)

The role

In our Munich office, the chemistry team is focused mainly on securing and defending patents for innovators of small molecule pharmaceuticals. You will work on commercially important patent portfolios that protect valuable assets for multinational drug companies. But during your training you will also work closely with patent attorneys and partners working on other technologies in our wider Chemistry Practice Group. There may also be the chance to work on cases with patent attorneys from the life sciences and speciality pharma teams. We take a holistic approach to intellectual property law in our training programmes and beyond.

Our training programme is diverse and varied, sometimes challenging, but always rewarding. You will learn a lot and have the opportunity to apply your specialist knowledge in practice.

About you

You are curious and eager to learn, with excellent communication skills in German and English. General commerciality is an advantage, but prior knowledge of patent law is not required. An excellent academic degree is essential, as well as an open-minded attitude to learning!
