Our Taster Week is a series of open days designed to give you valuable insight into our firm and the legal profession, taking place from October 12, 2026 - October 15, 2026.

As part of Taster Week, we are hosting four different Open Days. Successful applicants will be invited to attend one of these events.

What you'll do

During these events, you'll have the opportunity to hear from our senior lawyers and trainee solicitors, learn about our work, and explore the opportunities available at our firm.

Eligibility

Before submitting your application, please review the eligibility criteria below carefully to ensure you are applying for an Open Day that you are eligible to attend.

All Open Days are open to university students and graduates who meet the following academic requirements:

• Have achieved AAB at A-Level (or an equivalent qualification).
• Are currently on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:1 degree classification or above.

Please note we accept mitigating circumstances so if this is the case, please clearly explain why you didn't achieve the grades you were expecting so we're able to take this into consideration. There will be a free text box within the application form for you to be able to do this.

In addition, some Open Days have specific eligibility criteria:

• Virtual Open Day – Join us online to learn about our firm, our work, and our early careers opportunities.
• In-Person Open Day – Visit our office, meet our people, and gain first-hand insight into life at the firm.
• In-Person STEM Open Day – Designed for students and graduates from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) backgrounds who are interested in exploring a career in commercial law.
• In-Person Open Day for Underrepresented Groups – An opportunity for students and graduates from backgrounds underrepresented in the legal profession who are interested in exploring a career in commercial law. We welcome applications from those who self-identify as belonging to one or more of the following underrepresented groups: Black, Asian or minority ethnic background, LGBTQIA+, Individuals with disabilities or are neurodivergent (as defined by the Equality Act 2010), and/or Individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, such as: you are the first in your family to attend university, you are a carer or have caring responsibilities, and/or you were eligible for free school meals.

While we will do our best to accommodate your preferred Open Day, places are limited and cannot be guaranteed. In the application form, you will be asked to select both a first-choice and second-choice event (please ensure you are eligible for both). If your preferred Open Day is full, we will consider your second-choice preference instead. All places are allocated subject to availability.
