2026 Summer Vacation Scheme
Our Summer Vacation Scheme is a paid placement that runs for two weeks during the summer in each of our offices; Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and London (with flexible hybrid working).
Taking part in our two week vacation scheme will give you an excellent opportunity to learn more about how we make an impact both in the communities we work in and on our clients. You will have the chance to meet our approachable people, experience our culture and the high quality work we do here at Bevan Brittan.
You will be given real work to do from the get go and detailed feedback on how you are progressing by each member of the team you work with, to help you start developing your skills as a future solicitor.
Throughout the scheme, you will be assessed across three areas: working in your team, a group presentation with other vacation scheme students and a partner interview. We fill most of our training contract places through our vacation schemes and currently have spaces available for our September 2027 and September 2028 (the majority) trainee intakes.
If you are looking to apply directly for a training contract, applications open on 17th February 2026.
Eligibility
Vacation Scheme applications are open to penultimate and final year law students, final year non-law students, graduates and those considering a change in career.
As a UK top-100 law firm, we are looking for strong academic achievement from applicants; ABB at A-Level and a 2:1 at degree level is our expectation (the degree does not have to be in law). We also recognise the value of relevant, strong, commercial work experience and welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate this, but may not fully meet our academic requirements.
When applying, please do let us know of any clear mitigating circumstances, or if you have at least three years' relevant commercial work experience.
Please note, you can only apply to one vacancy in a 12 month period.
